Youth Ed Update July 2013

Farewell my little lovelies. I will think of your children and smile at all of the wonderful memories we’ve made. I will remember only the beauty I see in their sweet loving eyes. I will let them go to be guided by others and know that they will flourish because they have you. I will be with them all, throughout time, as they grow into who they are. I will say farewell and feel grateful that they came into my life. I will hold them in love always. Until we meet again, “Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken.” -Oscar Wilde

I am very happy and excited to be writing my first submission for the newsletter! Saying good bye to January as the Youth Education Director was very difficult. She has done such an amazing job with the children and I have some big shoes to fill! My son, Cyrus, husband, Matthew, and I are looking forward to the adventure that is ahead of us as I start on this new path with Unity. It is definitely a family affair! I have many ideas and plans for the upcoming months for all of the youth. I will definitely need help and support from all the parents. There will be a meeting later in the summer in August where I would like to share my plans for activities and curriculum as well as where you, as parents, can share your thoughts. Be on the look out for the exact date and time for this meeting.
Volunteers are needed for helping in the Roots room on a few Sundays due to vacations and other summer activities. If you can be with the children on a Sunday, I will be glad to help out with lesson and activity ideas. Please check the calendar that is downstairs or contact me if you can help.
Thank you again for this opportunity to work with the amazing children of Unity. I can't wait to have so much fun with all the families!
“Accept the children the way we accept trees—with gratitude, because they are a blessing—but do not have expectations or desires. You don’t expect trees to change, you love them as they are.” Isabel Allende
