Location:

The Season for Peace and Nonviolence draws to a close, but the call to “Get in the Way” lives on.

Our closing event for the Season for Peace and Nonviolence will include a screening of “Come Walk in My Shoes,” a documentary journey of Rep. John Lewis’s congressional trip to the sites of the civil rights movement in Selma, Birmingham, and other southern cities.  This phenomenal film should not be missed.  It includes archival footage from the heart of the civil rights movement, the heart of the movement to bring about justice through rigorous and sacrificial “getting in the way” of the status quo of injustice.  All achieved with nonviolent sacrifice.

Come share the closing of our formal season and be invigorated to move forward throughout the coming year to “Get in the Way” when injustice lives in our community.
